TO ALL THE KOOMSA, HALL ZOTIGH FAMILIES!
HELLO!! THIS IS YOUR SISTER, AUNT, GRANDMA OR JUST PLAIN KIOWA RELATIVE, MARTHA KOOMSA PEREZ. I LIVE IN CARNEGIE.
I am taking this time to inform each and everyone one of the families of Grandma Belle Koomsa Hall Zotigh and Grandpa Harry Hall Zotigh, to get ready for a FAMILY REUNION. This Reunion is going to be held at the Carnegie City Park on Tuesday, July 3, 2007. It is time that we get together once again, to meet and greet one another and find out who our relatives are. Time is going by too fast for all of us. We don’t take time to visit with one another, like our parents did in the past. Family members have been stricken with illnesses which makes it hard for them to get out. We want to rejoice the wellness of all who are Survivors, no matter what their illnesses were. We need to meet one another and meet the offsprings, children, grand-children, great-grand children and perhaps some great-greats!! I wanted to get this Reunion organized a long time ago, but, “phauy-gaw”, I waited too long—however, here is a news letter for all to be informed. Last year for those of you
who attended, we had a “BLAST”!! It was very good, I was very happy with the turn out. Let’s make it even better this year. Most of you know that Jr. Poorbuffalo’s daughter, Isa Belle is the Comanche Nation Princess this year. We are so proud of her, it is only proper that we meet and let her know that we support her. In fact we need to “Honor” her that day, during the gourd dance, by having a give-away, especially all of us who are her Aunts & Grandma’s!! We had a good turn last year, even though it was rather late in planning, just like now! Pass this on. Tell everyone. (We will be setting up the white-man Arbors. Same place!!)
ALL FAMILIES ARE TO BRING A MEAT DISH AND A SIDE DISH!! IF WE ALL “POT LUCK” THE DINNER, WE WILL MAKE IT!! HERE IS AN ADDITIONAL LIST, HOWEVER, JUST BRING WHAT YOU CAN!
*MEAT: ALREADY COOKED: ROAST, PORK CHOPS, OR EVEN STEAKS!!, HAM,BAKED, FRIED, BROASTED CHICKEN. SIDE DISHES: MEAT GRAVY, MACARONI & CHEESE, BAKED BEANS, RICE-ANY KIND, BOILED PLAIN, SPANISH, RICE-A-RONI
*VEGGIES: GREENS! ONIONS, RADISHES, CELERY, TOMATOES, ETC.
*SALADS: TOSSED , MACARONI, PASTA, GREEN BEAN, CORN ON THE COBB. DESSERTS: ANYTHING: PUDDING, JELLO, CAKES, PIES, ETC.
PEGGY, WILLIE AND I, WILL FURNISH THE PLATES & CUPS, PLASTIC WARE, NAPKINS, TABLE CLOTHS, ETC.
WE WILL NEED A LOT OF BOTTLE WATER, SODA’S, TEA AND ICE!!!!
& CONDIMENTS. I WILL SEE THAT WE HAVE ENOUGH TABLES AND CHAIRS OR BENCHES!! COME AS YOU ARE, NO REAL FANCY STUFF, REMEMBER WE’RE FAMILY! STARTING TIME: 10: 00 A.M. NOON MEAL: 12:00 PLEASE BE ON TIME!! INTRODUCE YOUR FAMILY TO ALL!! BRING FAMILY PICTURES. GOURD DANCE WILL BEGIN AT 2:00 O’CLOCK. GOD BLESS ALL!! SEE YOU’LL ON THE 3RD.
